Violinist Anne Katharina Schreiber studied with Rainer Kussmaul in Freiburg and graduated with distinction.
She has been a member of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra since 1988, and has travelled worldwide with the orchestra, giving concerts and recording numerous CDs, some as soloist.
She has frequently performed with conductors including Ivor Bolton, Thomas Hengelbrock and Markus Creed, and as leader of ensembles with baroque and modern repertoire, e.g. ensemble recherche and the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble.
She lectures in Ancient and Modern Music at the Freiburg Ensemble Academy, which is run jointly by the two local ensembles, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and ensemble recherche.
Anne Katharina Schreiber lectures in Ancient and Modern Music at the Ensembleakademie in Freiburg and has taught Modern Violin at the College of Music in Freiburg since October 2007 |
